Thanks, Jane, I appreciate this memo but also want to point out an interest from the public which also exists as indicated from the emails council has received and the editorials and letters to the editor have shown. While I appreciate the materials being included in an information package, I think a public discussion at council would be informative and as a council member would be interested in comments from my other city council members. For me, this issue and how it has been handled raises issues as to process and how we collectively as a council address potentially controversial issues that might be addressed as a representative body. As I haven’t spoken with the majority of my council members, I’d appreciate knowing their positions.

Again, I request CAC set a time on our agenda where council members can discuss this matter publicly. I think the public has a right to listen to that discussion.

I recognize we have a more than full plate on our meetings but given public input, council needs to have a discussion.
