Hello All,
Regarding tomorrow night's meeting agenda item 3. A., the 100 unit permanently affordable congregate care facility at 1665 33d Street, I wonder if we might have some definitions. I thought the development was for permanently affordable senior housing rather than 100 percent congregate (assisted) care, so if someone tomorrow can explain the definitions, that would be helpful. Also, perhaps some explanation of how this kind of care can remain permanently affordable. I read online that the average cost for congregate care in Boulder is $4,502 per month, higher than the national average of $3,400 monthly (and higher than neighboring Lafayette --which has better ratings for care and whose average is $4,203 a month).
Thanks for your help,
Cindy
P.S. The site-caring.com/senior-living/assisted-living/Colorado/boulder#intro-has more information regarding Boulder's assisted living scene.
