Sender: IT-System Status

IT has recently been testing a new feature of our voice mail system that sends a brief “heads up email” to each city voice mail system user that a new voice mail has arrived. Below is a sample screenshot of what a voice mail notification
 looks like.

<img width="761" height="316" id="Picture_x0020_1" src="cid:image001.jpg at 01CFCDC0.CB8BDEB0" alt="Message notification: Voice message from NBRC Main 7260

Voicemail message
Voice count: 1
Voice message from NBRC Main 7260 received 11:51:14 am 8/23/2014 GMT -06:00">

While away from one’s desk, this feature lets the user know the caller ID (also listed for external calls unless not available from CenturyLink), time received and number of voice mails in her/his box including the new arrival.

Note that this does not include embedded digital access to the voice mail message itself (e.g. via a web link or attachment to an audio file, etc)
just a very basic heads up that a new message has arrived.

On Thursday, September 18, the IT Department will be activating this new feature.

If you have any questions about this new feature, please feel free to contact John Reilly in IT at x4286.
