[bouldercouncilhotline] Hotline: Dog Pet Waste Signage

During the recent hearing on the issues concerning dogs on open space, I (and some other Council members) made comments regarding the need for better signage to create awareness and peer-pressure with residents (and to educate the tourists) about the need
 to clean up after their dogs.   I recently visited Aspen, a town that also has residents and tourists who hike with their dogs.  On one trail alone — the popular Smuggler Mountain trail — there were 4 unique and well-placed signs within the first approximately
 200 yards or so of the hike.  I did not observe one pile of dog excrement or a single bag left behind on the trail.  I attach the signs for your review.  I also attach a City of Aspen sign that was in the front door of pet shops.
