The reason given by staff for the 1,000 plant limitation in the proposed ordinance regulating recreational marijuana is that counting more than 1,000 plants takes too long.

In arriving at a decision about this, it would be helpful to know more about the state requirement for radio frequency tags (RFT's) on every single plant, and whether those RFT's required by the state permit rapid inventory counts, and what other advantages
may flow to jurisdictions from the state's inventory tracking regs.

For that reason, I would like to ask CAC to invite Lewis Koski Lewis.Koski at state.co.us or some other appropriate official from the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division to make a five minute presentation
on the subject to Council at Tuesday night's meeting.

Thanks very much.
