[bouldercouncilhotline] Hotline: Regional Planning for bike connections

I am traveling and will not be present for the City Council and County Commissioners' meeting later this month. I would like to see the City and County engaging with the Forest Service, the State and other entities to do regional planning for bicycle connections, including Mountain Bike connections. 

The Boulder Mountain Bike Alliance is urging a multi jurisdictional approach to implementing connections that is a very good idea. I would like to see the energy and talents of our transportation staff engaged in making these connections, in order to increase the opportunities for car free travel throughout the County, and the recreation opportunities for mountain bikes that permit them to take long rides without having to get in a car to begin their rides.
