Good afternoon Council Members and HOTLINE followers,

Emails providing information on the Colorado Family & Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program were sent to all employees via Employee News on October 13th, October 20th, and October 27th. The October 27th email invited employees to submit comments and input about the program that would be shared with City Council. This email served as the official pre-vote notification required by FAMLI and informed employees of the date and time of the public hearing, which will be held by City Council on November 3rd at 6 PM. Three emails from two staff members were received by the deadline for comments on November 2nd at 12 PM.

Both employees encourage the city to reconsider declining participation in the FAMLI program, because they feel it would be an added benefit for temporary and seasonal employees. They note that temporary and seasonal employees do not have access to the same paid leave policies as standard part-time and full-time employees.

There was no other feedback submitted to Human Resources or to the HRBenefits at bouldercolorado.gov<mailto:HRBenefits at bouldercolorado.gov> inbox.
