Thanks so much for your note and for the video-incredible piece of art with a powerful message for humans, the “me first” species whose habits are only exponentially accelerating our race into the Sixth extinction. I am sorry our vote a few weeks ago only helped propel this action.

I recently took a break from working to save prairie dogs and the prairie ecosystem in my community and traveled to Yellowstone National Park.  I also visited the Wildlife Art Museum located in Jackson Hole.  There I was lucky to see an amazing piece of art made by an artist from Ft. Collins.  The work is entitled Silent Messenger.  As you consider how prairie dogs will be treated in Boulder I beg you to watch this video of Steve Kestrel describing his work and why he made it.  I don't know how to get this message through, we are killing this planet and the decisions you make now will forever affect it.
