[BoulderCouncilHotline] Information on the transmission of plague to humans

Good Afternoon Council Hotline Followers,

At CAC yesterday morning staff was asked to provide information on the frequency and circumstances that have lead to plague being transmitted to humans.  Attached is  information on the 20 people that have gotten plague in Colorado between 2005 -2017.  Additionally, a chart is provided showing the species and mechanism implicated in the transmission of plague to 55 Colorado residents between 1957 and 2005.  Additional information is available on the CDPHE https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/cdphe/plague and CDC https://www.cdc.gov/plague/ websites.
