Dear Cindy and council members,

In order to be prepared to address this request for a delay at the meeting this evening, I reached out to our staff team to learn what the impact of a delay might be on our proposed contracts.

If this matter is delayed past tonight's meeting, the vendor will not be able to hold the negotiated prices and the city would not be able to move forward with the contracts.  This matter could be pulled from the consent agenda this evening and the council could hold a public hearing on the item.  This would allow the contracts to move forward under the negotiated terms in the event the city council voted to approve them.

I wanted you to have this information in advance of the meeting tonight so that you would be prepared to make a decision on how to proceed.

I would like to pull item 3.D -consideration of a motion to authorize the CM to enter into 14 site lease agreements in excess of 20 years for solar systems on city facilities--off the consent agenda and move it to May 7 or whenever feasible and have a public hearing.
