Thanks, Mary!
I read this article this morning and found it very interesting. What was disturbing was a critical paragraph proposed by Senator Cory Booker was deleted and is no longer in the current language.
I ask CAC to schedule a council discussion of opportunity zones this Tuesday, November 28. We have 3 hours scheduled to discuss the Library Master Plan and library financing/districting Given council recently held a discussion on our library and concept of districting, it seems we can have the library discussion in 1.5-2 hrs and use our last hour to discuss opportunity zones, how and where in Boulder might these occur, what the process has been to date, what is involved, who invests, what benefits Boulder receives, etc. Council has received multiple emails on this issue and while we received an IP, I find that inadequate and think a council discussion would be helpful for the council and the community.
Thanks
Lisa
