[BoulderCouncilHotline] CU South issue for hearing on August 7

Fellow Council Members, HOTLINE followers, and staff,

Reading the preliminary packet for August 7, I would like to request that staff present a balanced review of all of the CU South/South Boulder Creek Phase 1 flood mitigation options to Council.  I was concerned to see that Variant 1, 500 year flood event mitigation evaluation, was not advanced by the staff as an option for discussion by Council, even though OSBT recommended that we consider it.  Staff advanced Variant 1, 100 year, and Variant 2 100 year and 500 year.  I am extremely interested in full discussions of Variant 1, 500 year as well as the 'community option upstream detention' option.
