We are now receiving and have gotten previous requests to reschedule the upcoming Hogan Pancost meeting from early August to September due to planned family vacations etc. Many would like to speak at the planning board hearing August 3rd but will be unable to given their planned vacations. I ask if this cannot be rescheduled until early September given this request.

Recently we've also received several emails regarding the change in start time to 5 pm for the August 3rd planning board hearing. This is a surprise to the residents and the 5pm start time makes it difficult for many to attend. Also individuals in the neighborhood had printed at their expense and distributed many flyers regarding the upcoming hearing based on what they had been told by the city so now for the city to change the start time does not respect the public process.

Can this hearing date be changed to September? It is not like this is a proposal for which there is no interest from the public. I'll just remind everyone that tomorrow council will be discussing the public participation working group report and I hope all have read it and the recommendations. We need good and balanced public processes in place where all voices can be registered and where important decisions can be weighed carefully.

Thanks

Lisa

"We interact with one another as individuals responding to a complex haze of factors: professional responsibilities, personal likes and dislikes, ambition, jealousy, self-interest, and, in at least some instances, genuine altruism. Living in the here and now, we are awash with sensations of the present, memories of the past, and expectations and fears for the future. Our actions are not determined by any one cause; they are the fulfillment of who we are at that particular moment. After that moment passes, we continue to evolve, to change, and our memories of that moment inevitably change with us as we live with the consequences of our past actions, consequences we were unaware of at the time."
