To those interested in, or working on, the Vista Village issues:

I spoke today with Harvey Miller, the owner of Vista Village Mobile Home Park, about the procedure used at the Park to inform tenants of rule violations.

He acknowledged the criticism of members of the public who have written to Council and spoken at Council meetings about the way in which the Park handles rule violations and requests for compliance with the park rules. He acknowledges the writers and speakers who have expressed feeling intimidated or apprehensive about finding sticky notes with violations posted on their doors.

Addressing these criticisms and feelings, he will be providing the Council, staff and park tenants with information about the procedure: the forms that are used, the nature of violations that are cited, how violations can be cured and the number of that evictions, based on rule violations, have occurred over the last five years. He stated unequivocally that he is committed to an even handed, transparent application of the rules.
