<p class="MsoNormal">In preparation for the presentation by Boulder County on Thursday evening regarding Boulder County’s transportation sales tax, staff is providing this additional information.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Based on technical analysis, polling results and community feedback, Boulder County staff is recommending an extension of the existing 0.1% (one-tenth of a penny) sales tax to fund basic multimodal transportation projects, programs, and
services per the county’s Transportation Master Plan, including:<o:p></o:p></p>
<ul style="margin-top:0in" type="disc">
<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Roadway safety and resiliency projects,
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Transit capital, service operations, and programs,<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Regional trails and commuter bikeways,
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Multimodal regional corridors, and
<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Mobility programs for vulnerable populations, transportation demand management, and first and final mile connections.

<p class="MsoNormal">These funds will be used to provide basic multimodal transportation improvements throughout the county as well as be used to leverage grant funding opportunities with local, regional, state, and federal transportation agency partners.

<p class="MsoNormal">There will continue to be an annual process through the Consortium of Cities to review and update the transportation project list over time, as well as the opportunity for public review and input as part of the county’s annual budget process.<o:p></o:p></p>
