Hello Council and Hotline Subscribers,

Following up on my earlier email, I’ll note two adjustments for the December 15 item to Check-In on Council Committee Assignments.

  * Correction in attachment – in 2022 Mayor Pro Tem Wallach replaced Council Member Joseph as the Colorado Municipal League representative.
  * Time allocation for council discussion was increased to 30 minutes.

Please see the earlier email for more details on how this item will be addressed.

Respectfully,
Taylor

Subject: Dec 15 Item 8A - Check-In on Council Committee Assignments

Hello Council and Hotline Subscribers,

At the December 15 regular meeting council will check-in on board and committee assignments for 2023 and address possible exchanges. The attachment includes Appointment Information for each group which outlines the flexibility/limitations for each appointment. Section 9 of the BRC states that a committee of council generally should only be two council members, any committee with more than two council members will require justification.

For assignment changes that need to be filled, council members are encouraged to work out assignment backfills in one-on-one conversations (in compliance with Open Meetings Law, no serial meetings) in advance of the December 15 meeting to support an organized discussion. If backfills can’t be organized in advance council members should express their interest for an assignment change through Hotline. Two of the four terms on the Financial Strategy Committee are expiring in 2022, those are currently held by Mayor Pro Tem Wallach and Council Member Joseph.

Respectfully,
Taylor
