Good Morning Council Members and Hotline Followers,

Pursuant to a request from the Council Agenda Committee, below is an estimated timeline of next steps in the library district transition:

NEXT STEPS

Below is an estimated timeline of next steps:

By December 15, 2022 - Chief of Staff to the Board of County Commissioners notifies the BOCC of the initial certification of the mill levy approved by the electors.

January - February 2023 - Selection Committee selects initial District Board of Trustees.

March 2023 - BOCC and City Council Resolutions to ratify Selection Committee's appointment to District Board of Trustees.

April - July 2023 - Staff negotiates IGA.

Post-July 2023 - Implement transition as defined in the IGA.
