Subject: Financial Strategy Committee appointments

Fellow Council Members and HOTLINE Followers,

On Tuesday, Council elected to make our Financial Strategy Committee, which will review the budget and make recommendations to Council about our budget and budgeting process, a standing committee of Council.  The suggestion by the current temporary committee is to appoint 3 members, 2 to 2-year terms, and 1 to a 1-year term.

I will suggest at CAC on Monday that we make the appointments on May 5 under Matters from City Council.  If we do not do it on May 5, I expect we will instead make appointments on May 12.

I would ask that Council Members who are interested in serving on this Financial Strategy Committee to please send an email to HOTLINE indicating your interest by Tuesday, May 5 at noon.

This deadline will allow CAC to consider whether May 5 or May 12 offer the best opportunity to make the appointments.
