Fellow Council Members and HOTLINE followers,

Bob Yates and I went on a tour of the CU South property on Tuesday, Feb 18 hosted by CU and accompanied by Boulder senior flood planning staff. My understanding is that this tour was also given to Rachel Friend and Mary Young on Feb 20.

In the interest of full disclosure and transparency I have two items of information to share that I learned on my tour. The first is that for a 500-year (0.2% design flood) detention level, there appear to be serious concerns by CDOT with structural issues regarding the US36 bridge over South Boulder Creek.

The second item of new information for me was a handout Bob and I were given during our tour by CU representatives. I am providing that handout as a scanned attachment so that all Council Members and the public have the same background for our study session on Tuesday Feb 25.

All the best,

Sam Weaver
