[BoulderCouncilHotline] Information for Tomorrow's COVID-19 State and Federal Briefing

Good Evening Council Members,

This morning CAC asked that I provide you with a very short update on state and federal matters at tomorrow's council meeting. In preparation, I ask you to take note of a letter that the city sent to the Governor on April 14th<https://www-static.bouldercolorado.gov/docs/Boulder_City_&_Chamber_Letter_to_Governor_on_Need_for_Federal_Funds.Signed-1-202004151529.pdf?_ga=2.187322602.37335543.1587434954-390888974.1582744022> and a separate letter that the city sent this evening to its congressional delegation<https://www-static.bouldercolorado.gov/docs/Boulder_City_Chamber_Letter_to_Congressional_Delegation_Re_COVID_funding.Final-1-202004202030.pdf?_ga=2.82022740.37335543.1587434954-390888974.1582744022>. It would also be useful to review the April 3rd letter from Senators Gardner and Bennet to Treasury Secretary Mnuchin<https://www.gardner.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/gardnerbennet.treasury.pdf>, particularly the paragraph titled "Inclusivity of All Local Jurisdictions," which addresses the congressional intent to not have the CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Funds limited only to local governments with populations greater than 500,000.
