Dear Staff,

In reading through the Study Session memo, the following questions arose:
1. What are CU’s plans for the recently purchased Menninger building?
2. Would staff please provide a summary of the prior proposal to find a joint venture partner for the 14th Street City property?
3. Could staff please provide a table showing the potentially displaced business’ current square footage, current rent and business name?
4. Of the available properties illustrated on packet page 193, what are the asking rents and rough cost of tenant upgrades?
5. Why are these properties vacant?
6. For potential repayment of the $3 million dollars, could we please get a worse, likely and best case scenario like we did for COP pay back in September? As I recall there was a lag time assumed for which the general fund would be used. Please provide the assumed lag time.
7. On Public Improvement Fee (PIF): How do current tenants generally feel about this? How much would a fee be? How much of the fee would go to the 3rd party administrator?
8. What other options were explored for an anchor? Hill sustainability (would appreciate detailed analysis of current ideas found on packet page 175)? Keep Pleasant and develop for some other use like (please provide examples of other considerations)?

Thank you very much.

Happy MLK Day! An oldie but good article to read in his honor:
