Hi Tom and Greg

Yesterday a friend told me he called our police department to find out details of registering his assault weapon. This individual told me the person he spoke with at the police department didn’t know anything about registering assault weapons and is now concerned given the approaching December deadline. 

What should I tell him?

Also what is being done to remind owners of assault weapons of the December deadline?
