[BoulderCouncilHotline] Opportunity Zones and information from staff

Hello,


I am requesting staff gather the following information and post it on hotline for the community to see.


1) the “staff’s analysis” of the supposed benefits of Opportunity Zones, as Jane noted in her report of Oct. 5.

2) any staff analysis of the potential downsides of an OZ designation be included; or if none was done, provide that information.

3) any evidence that this process was a “transparent public process”, including any notice or information sent to council members and the public at large that the City was in the process of selecting the area, discussing it with the Chamber of Commerce, and communicating it to the state and Governor Hickenlooper.

4) the actual documents submitted by the City to state designating census tract 122.03 or any other census tracts “for consideration for designation as opportunity zone designation”.

5) a list of projects (including address and a brief description) in the OZ that have made submittals for planning approval or been under discussion with City planning or other staff (such as the Economic Vitality staff.)
