[BoulderCouncilHotline] FW: CU-Colorado & 30th St Intersection & Underpass Current Proposal/Open House

Dear Jane,
Someone who attended the Transportation Open House told me that the city’s latest plans for the intersection improvements at 30th and Colorado are to be paid by a combination of federal and local funds – and that the split in local funds has been announced as $2.85 million from City of Boulder + $0.40 million from CU. With a primary purpose of this project being to: “Support the current and anticipated increased travel between CU's main and east campuses” why is CU paying such a small portion of this infrastructure project?  How was this split decided?
