Thanks. The first step would be to contact the Conis' who own the shopping center to see how their piano is managed as well as finding out the details.

Yes! I found it yesterday and played there for a few hours. So amazing.
If you are up for it, I would love to get one for a more centrally located area of Boulder.

Thanks, Matt and Mr. Jacobs, for raising public pianos.
We have one up at the Hillside shops on the southeast corner of Broadway and Quince near Lucky's Market, Logan's espresso, China Gourmet, and DaGabis. It's very cool. I'm not sure where it came from but one day a plain piano appeared in the courtyard and a woman started painting it with color. The painting was completed, the piano was "opened for use", and now anyone and everyone comes to play the piano. It's incredible and sometimes beautiful small spontaneous concerts are heard Very nice!

Mr. Jacobs—
Thank you for emailing City Council with your idea. While you may hear directly from one or more council members, the following information provided by city staff may also be helpful. It is a staff response and may or may not represent the opinions of individual council members.
And, thank you so much for your great idea and generous offer! There’s been some talk in the past about purchasing and maintaining public pianos. I would love to get your thoughts about how to make it happen. Allow me to brainstorm on locations. Maybe then we can connect and talk about what is possible?
Thanks for the great idea!

Subject: PIANO: Public Piano in Boulder
Hey there,
I am a member of Boulder and have been for a few years.
I would really like to get a public piano for Boulderites to play in their free time.
I am happy to take care of collecting the piano and moving it, but I would like the cities approval to do something like this and would love to discuss where the piano should be placed.
Any thoughts or ideas? Can you pass this email on to whoever might be best to help with this idea?
