Dear Council Members,

A question was raised last night as to "where did the goal for 450 middle income housing units came from?". I have clipped a section of the council minutes from June 2, 2009. It was also interesting reading these minutes as they also discussed Excise Tax and many of the same conversations occurred with many of the same staff people. The 450 goal seemed to be 10% of the 10%. The 10% affordable housing goal was roughly 4,500 units.

I hope this is helpful,

Kurt
