A number of residents have asked what is going on next to the teahouse. It is a voluntary cleanup of industrial chemicals required because of the presence of the deposit of these chemicals by previous operators of the site.

It would be instructive, and interesting, to have the contractor or the City place signage at the site to explain the process by which this site will be mitigated: what is going on in the structures? what is coming out of the stacks? how are toxic chemicals
removed from groundwater or soil by the equipment used and housed on site?

Thanks.
