Changes to Specific B&C Application Forms

Chautauqua

Replace Question #4
There are many shared interests in Chautauqua and environs such as the Colorado Chautauqua Association that manages the site, owners of homes on site and nearby, dining hall patrons and operators, organizations which use the auditorium and community house, visitors, and the City which owns the site and adjacent open space. How has your involvement with any of these shared interests shaped your thinking about Chautauqua?

NOTE: This is a slight variation on question #4 offered by Matt and Macon. It gets at the issue of how affiliations and interests may affect decision making, but without asking applicants to identify as representing a specific interest. If the Council believes, as it has stated in the past, that all B&C applicants should be able to consider all community interests if chosen for service, it seems awkward and inconsistent to ask them if they see themselves as representing a particular interest.

Housing Authority (Boulder Housing Partners)

Replace Question #4

The Boulder Housing Partners board is the governing body for the City of Boulder Housing Authority. As such, it deals with complex real estate transactions, Housing and Urban Development procedures and regulations, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority tax credit applications, resident services matters, and many more specialized issues related to the development, operation and financing of affordable housing. What specific skills, professional education, training and/or experiences would you bring to support the work of this Board?

Landmarks

Replace Question #3

The Landmarks Board has the responsibility to enforce the Historic Preservation Ordinance as well as help the City to achieve its sustainability goals. What ideas do you have to help the Board reconcile these sometimes competing objectives, especially with regard to improving energy efficiency in historic buildings?
